The Last Confrontation | Ryū to Bushi

Ryū to Bushi explores the quiet space between conflict and understanding.

A samurai and a dragon face one another across a restless sea, their eyes locked in a moment that resists a simple interpretation. Are they preparing for battle, or recognizing something of themselves in one another? The scene invites the viewer to decide.

Perhaps the greatest battles are not won through force, but through acceptance. The dragon may be an enemy, a guardian, or a reflection of the warrior's own inner nature. Suspended between tension and stillness, the encounter becomes less about victory and more about confronting what lies within.

Unlike my digital works, this piece began as an original watercolor painting on fine cotton paper.

Every brushstroke, pigment transition, and subtle paper texture belongs to the physical artwork itself.

To preserve the character of the original painting, it was professionally scanned by a fine art reproduction studio specializing in artwork digitization.

Each print is produced using museum-grade giclée printing on German Hahnemühle Hemp FineArt paper, The result is a faithful one-to-one reproduction that captures the depth, color, and delicate details of the original watercolor as accurately as possible.
